Wisdom 1:16

In spite of this, the ungodly called out to death by what they did and said. Thinking that death was their friend, they lost their resolve and made a treaty with death. Let them have each other: death and the ungodly belong together!
But the wicked with works and words have called it to them: and esteeming it a friend have fallen away, and have made a covenant with it: because they are worthy to be of the part thereof.
Ungodly people have brought death on themselves by the things they have said and done. They yearn for death as if it were a lover. They have gone into partnership with death, and it is just what they deserve.
It was the wicked who with hands and words invited death, considered it a friend, and pined for it, and made a covenant with it, Because they deserve to be allied with it.
But the godless by their words and deeds summoned death, regarded it as a friend, and longed for it. They made a covenant with it since they deserve to be in its company.
But the ungodly by their words and deeds summoned death; considering him a friend, they pined away and made a covenant with him, because they are fit to belong to his company.
But the ungodly by their words and deeds summoned death; considering him a friend, they pined away and made a covenant with him, because they are fit to belong to his company.
But ungodly men by their words and deeds summoned death; considering him a friend, they pined away, and they made a covenant with him, because they are fit to belong to his party.
But ungodly men by their words and deeds summoned death; considering him a friend, they pined away, and they made a covenant with him, because they are fit to belong to his party.
Forsooth wicked men called that unrightfulness by hands and words, and they guessed it a friend, and floated away, and they putted promises to it; for they be worthy (of) the death, that be of the part thereof. [Unpious men forsooth with hands and words haunted it, and esteemed it a friend, flowed down, and promises they putted to it; for death they be worthy, that be of the part of it.]
